I hope you don’t mind me contacting you. My name is Vari and I am the Assistant Producer on C4’s The Sex Education Show. We are now coming to the end of production on the 3rd series and are currently concentrating our efforts on updating the linked website (http://sexperienceuk.channel4.com/) in line with the new series (due to be aired in July 2010). I am contacting you in the hope that you may be able to help put me in touch with some suitable candidates to interview for our website.

We are looking for middle-aged (39-55) people who would be happy to talk frankly and openly about sex and relationships on camera as part of the educational website. It’s very important for us to demonstrate the diversity of sex and experiences. The questions would be along the lines of: What is the most useful advice about sex you’ve ever been given? When were you sure of your sexual identity? etc.

This would involve a phone chat with me in the first instance and then if suitable, we would arrange for the interviewees to come into our London office for an hour one day next week to be interviewed on camera.

It’s a great opportunity for anyone who feels that they have a lot to say about relationships and who feels they’d like to help educate and inform young people about different experiences. Ideally we’re looking for bubbly, outgoing characters with lots of stories to tell. The interviewees can be male/female, gay/straight/bi, single or in a relationship – the more the merrier.

We are looking to film these next week and so I’d really appreciate any help you can offer in getting this casting call out to as many people as possible.
